Required Car Premium For Miami-Dade County Drivers
For vehicle registration to take place in the following cities: Gladeview, Key Biscayne, Coral Gables, Miami Shores, Pinewood, and Westview, you must first have the proper insurance coverage on that vehicle. If you are going for the minimal amount, you must purchase a plan through a Florida licensed insurance provider that contains $10,000 in personal injury protection, or PIP as it is often referred to and $10,000 in property damage liability, also known as PDL.
Moving Violations & The Effect They Have On Your Miami-Dade County Insurance Rate
Receiving a moving violation in Miami-Dade County will cause points to be assessed to your Florida driving record. As a result, your insurance premiums may go up, or your coverage could be canceled altogether. Without PIP/PDL insurance coverage, the FL DHSMV can suspend your driving privileges. To keep those points off your record and your license intact, eligible drivers can take a traffic school course approved for Gladeview, Key Biscayne, Coral Gables, Miami Shores, Pinewood, and Westview. Also, some insurance companies will offer a discount to drivers that attend a On Line Driver Improvement or Mature Driver course.
