D.A.T.A., short for Drug Alcohol Traffic Awareness is a program to help all first time drivers in Brevard County obtain their Florida driver's license by educating them on the rules of the road, laws and regulations, safety techniques, alcohol awareness, and more. By completing this Easy course, you are completing your first time driver obligations mandated by the Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicle.
Course & Exam Recognized by the Brevard County DHSMV
Our Easy course and exam meet the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles standards. Both our First Time Driver Internet Class and Florida Online Driver License Knowledge Exam are authorized by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV or DMV) to fulfill the requirements needed for your first Brevard County Florida learner's permit.
Proof of completion
What happens after I complete the DATA course? Your information will automatically be reported to the DMV. You will receive a copy of your completion certificate for your own records but you do not need to bring this with you to the DMV.
What do you need to get a learner's permit in the state of Florida?
- Complete the Florida Approved D.A.T.A. (Drug Alcohol Traffic Awareness) course
- Supply proof of completion of a Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education Course
- Complete the Permit Written Exam . Must be 15 years old to do so. Parental consent form needed, if under 18
- Present one of the following forms of identification: Original Birth Certificate, valid U.S. passport, or Florida State ID card
- Present your original Social Security Card
- Pass a vision and hearing test
- Give a thumb print and Get your picture taken
